IND vs PAK

I'm not going to write about the on-going match right now. India will win. Yay to that! Log into any of the social media platforms you'll find all the info you need in case you aren't watching it.

But this post here is pretty much because of the match  and thus the genuine dedication via the Title!

I am home today and the entire family is glued to the TV ad I have some time on my own.
Well, that gives away the fact that I'm not a great cricket fan. You know me somewhat already.

I used to watch a lot of football when I was a young - I hail from Kolkata, the land where Mohan Bagan and East Bengal is a common discussion point at the dinner table.

I am also very close to my father. Baba was a soccer player in Shibpur university. Calling it soccer because he calls it so. Been aping whatever he does for years now. Learnt to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to follow EPL for years. I admired the way he dictated the move, yelled out as if he was the coach - quite amusing!

That's Baba & I at my wedding.

BTW, I recently got married to my best friend from college. So far so good :)

Coming back to the story, of all the soccer I could gather, I grew to develop my own tastes as well. I liked Sesk Fabregas, team Arsenal and in particular the jersey. I would never miss a match.

Of-course Sesk has now moved from the team and that makes me believe end of the day it's all a game of money & I have serious loyalty issues in life.
Baba too has grown old. He still watches soccer. But we do not wake up at wee hours anymore. We watch it on YouTube next day instead.

Did I say my 1st boyfriend was an ardent football fan too? Things didn't work out for us. But the football love had an effect. He is in Argentina now.

Coming back to today's match - I finally get some time off. Hence the time to sit down and write. Been years and right now I'm at snail speed. This year I had made a lot of new year resolutions.
  • I will take light
  • I will start meditation (I have serious distraction issues. I'm always thinking 10 things together)
  • I will wake up early in the morning
  • I will travel more often
  • I will earn more money (a must to fulfil point no. 4)
  • I will start writing again
  • I will be less emotional
  • I will learn a bit of manipulation
  • I will learn to say no
  • I will learn to give a fuck
Well, I need to start working on all of this asap, for today - Resolution no. 6 wins!

Later again.
